In the spring of 1977, the potential for Fixer Upstate was unleashed on the world. Those first few years Fixer didn’t know a thing, but as he started to grow he found a fascination with how things connect and work. As a young boy he was also drawn to playing in the dirt but was always told to not get so dirty and stop digging holes. He had to stop playing in the dirt so much but continued to focus on learning how things connect and work. As an adult this led Fixer to a 20-year career in the information technology industry. It was a time of intense learning. Learning more about how things connect and work together. He loved to problem solve and provide solutions all around him because he just couldn’t stand to see things that are broken around him. He made a reputation for himself as the go to guy for problem solving, and those that came to him knew he would care about their problem as much as they did. After 20 years in the IT industry, he was given an opportunity to take over maintenance for a small private Christian school where he worked. There were days he would be troubleshooting a network or repairing a PC, and there were days that he would spend repairing and managing the facilities of the school. This is when the IT world started fading away from his mind. Fixer decided to move more towards building and fixing things other than networks and PCs in his professional life, and personal life. The focus quickly shifted to construction and repairs. Soon after, he got access to running heavy equipment. He had finally made it back to playing in the dirt and digging holes and no one was there to tell him not to get dirty. His boyhood joy returned, and now he had big boy toys. In 2015 Fixer was unleashed on the Upstate.
